Lead Organizer
Tabatha Harris
became a member of UFCW 555 in 1990 working at
Fred Meyer. Tabatha wanted to be an active
member in her union, so she attended union
meetings and asked many questions. When her
Union Representative asked her if she would
become a Shop Steward, she was happy to do so.
Tabatha also became an active V.O.C. (volunteer
organizing committee), where she helped organize
a Safeway and Fred Meyer store.
Tabatha Harris came on staff in
1996 and worked in the Organizing Department.
Tabatha then became a Union Representative
and had routes in Oregon and SW Washington. In
2002 Tabatha was asked to transfer back to the
Organizing Department and is currently the
Lead
Organizer.
